Existing bridge on this important border providing for Turkey-Europe trade has a width of 7,55 m; and as it is 60-years old and above Meriç river which experiences floods frequently, construction of a new bridge was planned. Ipsala -Kipi Viaduct, was designed by Inpro as a cable stayed composite superstructure main bridge and its incrementally launched post-tensioned concrete approach bridges.
